The Orion

An artificially constructed entity created by an extremely advanced race of beings. “I am One”, as it refers to itself before accepting the name of Orion given to it by its human companion, Jared Chandler, is literally the fusion of a living, sentient microstar with the neural engrams of an Adarian.

By itself this AI would be impressive though limited, but it is through the incredible plasma matrix engineering of the Adarians that makes Orion what it is. The result of encasing the volatile light plasma and intense micro star in a stable yet variable magnetic field is a vessel of great intelligence, awesome power, light speed and stellar beauty. The Ship can take any form, but seems to prefer the shape of a huge stylized bird of prey.

The reason for its creation is as mysterious as the Adarians themselves, but despite many of the restrictive directives of its programming, Orion has learned a great deal in its existence which has spanned many cycles. Yet the greatest change comes during its time with Jared Chandler and can only be described as an awakening.
